A wardrobe is always a big and bulky furniture item, and it actually needs a proper and careful handling during the entire shifting process because it often has detachable panels, mirrors, and internal shelves, so here are the steps you need to follow to move it safely:

Empty & Fold: Before shifting, you always need to empty all those clothes and items from the wardrobe. Packing those clothes separately in suitcases or cartons will help to lighten its weight and also make handling easier during the move.

Detachable is Best: If the wardrobe is large, then dismantling it is always the best choice, and remove the doors, panels, and shelves carefully, and you just need to make sure to keep the screws and small parts safely in a separate box. This avoids damage and also helps during reassembly.

Glass Safety First: If your wardrobe has a mirror or glass section, then you must give extra protection. You need to cover the glass with masking tape in an ‘X’ shape or stick a glass emoji sticker on it, and after that, you also need to wrap it with bubble wrap, foam, or cushion sheets to prevent cracks or scratches.

Mark Panels: You can label all the dismantled parts like top, bottom, left, and right using tape or stickers. This will help you reassemble it correctly in your new home without any guesswork.

Avoid Dragging: If you are dragging your wardrobe on the floor, then do not, because it can really damage both the furniture and also the surface, and it’s always best to lift it carefully with help or use furniture sliders to shift it smoothly.
